Snowman Craft for Kids

winter activity for kids

This cute little snowman craft for kids is so much fun and is quite simple to do. All you need is a bottle of glue, some craft odds and end such as googly eyes, candies, buttons, pom-poms or anything else you can scrounge up around the house! This snowman craft of kids is a perfect way to keep young ones busy and creating during those cold winter days!

You can also easily turn this into a fun literacy activity! After your child is finished creating their snow person, grab a piece of paper and pen. Then ask your child to tell you a story about their snow person! Write down what they say word for word. Encourage them to  elaborate on their story by asking things like “Then what happened?” “How did she feel about that?” “What are they going to do next?”

Encourage older children to write their own stories independently. When they are finished ask them to read it to you when they are done! Proudly display these stories with the melting snowman!

Just a heads up-this snowman does take A LONG time to dry. Be sure to keep it laying flat until it dries.

Tip-lay a towel or paper towel underneath the paper while it is drying.
