Snow Friends Read Aloud Bingo Directions

First read Snow Friends aloud to your child, preferably several times. Afterwards, talk with your child about the book. Ask your child questions about the plot.

What happened when Bear woke up? Why did Bear feel lonely?

Who did he meet along the way?

Ask your child what their favorite part was. What was their least favorite part?

Next, introduce the bingo cards to your child. Talk about each picture and read the sentence underneath-being sure to run your finger under the words as you read.

Explain to your child that you are going to read the book Snow Friends again. Whenever they hear a part in the story that matches one of the circles on their bingo card-they get to cover it with a cotton ball or marshmallow!

Continue reading the book until your child has covered all the circles!

This is a game that can be done over and over again! Kids love repetition and each time they play their literacy skills will strengthen!

  • Read the circles together
  • Invite your child to read the book to you while you cover the circles with cotton balls!
