How to do a Mock Classroom Election

  • Decide on the candidates 

  • This Mock Election includes three Election choices 

  • Print Election decor and decorate your classroom

  • Create a Ballot Box

  • Introduce the candidates to your students

  • Lead a discussion on the pros and cons of each

  • Invite students to create posters or flyers to promote their candidate of choice and put them up around the room

  • Discuss voting etiquette with your students

  • Time for students to cast their votes!

  • Students can pick a voting sticker and proudly wear it the rest of the day

  • Gather the students, then count and graph the votes

  • Celebrate the winner!

  • Students call fill out the Election Results Data Page

  • Students can color and wear the Election Day crowns
