Heart Animal Craft for Kids
Valentine's Day craft
This adorable Heart Animal Craft for kids was always a favorite in my Preschool Classroom.
Kids love the idea of creating their own animals using only heart shapes. The best part is watching children’s creativity and thought process unfold.
There are no rules for this adorable Valentine’s Day craft. The idea is to allow children to create anything their heart desires (pun intended)!
I have posted a few examples below of some of the heart animals I created just for ideas and inspiration.
Keep in mind your child/student should be free to create their very own unique animal. I mainly created some examples just to have a little fun for myself!
Open ended art projects are an incredibly important way for your child to express themselves and to learn to trust their creative instincts.
It’s important that we allow our children to think freely during art expression-we need to resist the urge to tell them to do it a certain way.
The only instructions that should be given are “create an animal using these heart shapes”.
