How to Make a Simple
Halloween Sensory Bin for Kids
Add 6 cups of rice to a large Ziploc bag
Add 6 teaspoons of vinegar to the rice
Add several drops of orange food coloring
I also added a few drops of yellow food coloring, after I mixed in the orange food coloring, to give it a candy corn look!
You can also use red and yellow food coloring
Close bag and mix well!
Lay rice on a paper towel lined tray and allow to dry
It can take anywhere from 2-24 hours for the rice to dry
Once the rice is dry add it to a tray
For extra fun, consider adding in other Halloween inspired items such as…
Googly eyes
Pom-poms
Candy Corn
Plastic Spiders
Candy Pumpkins
Place the tray of rice on the floor, on top of a towel or sheet
Add in lots of cups, scoops, pans and anything else you think your child would enjoy
