By using the task cards to recreate the designs pictured, kids will learn and explore geometric properties and design recreation all while strengthening their hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills and spacial awareness.

How to use the
Building Shapes Task Cards

Download and print the free set of 6 task cards (download link below)
Cut blue straws (or blue pipe cleaners) in 4 1/2 inch segments
Cut purple straws (or pipe cleaners) in 3 inch segments
Cut green straws into 2 1/4 inch segments
Cut red straws into 1 1/8 inch segments
Place cut straws into mini cups or buckets
Set in a tray
Place task cards inside the tray
Step 7: time to play!
Introduce your child to the game
Invite your child to recreate the design on the card!
They can either recreate the design below the card OR they can place the straws directly on the task card
