Bear Snores On
Read Aloud Game for Kids
Read Bear Snores On with your child.
After you read, talk with your child about the book.
Ask your child questions about the plot.
Talk about your favorite parts of the book.
Ask your child who their favorite character from the book is.
Next, set out the materials needed for the game.
Tell your child that you are going to reread the book together.
Whenever they hear the name BEAR they get to cover a number with a pom-pom.
At the end of the game they will get to see how many times BEAR is written in the book!
Ask your child to count the pom-poms.
Encourage them to touch each pom-pom as they count it.
Lastly, write the number in the circle next to the characters name.
Invite your child to choose another character from the book and repeat the steps using the new character!
If you do all of the characters, talk about whose name is said the most and whose name is the said the least.
Are any of the characters tied? If so which ones?
