Spring is in the air… and if your classroom is feeling extra wiggly these days, you’re not alone! Between the warmer weather, spring fever, and all that end-of-the-year energy, keeping little learners focused can feel like a challenge.

That’s exactly why Earth Day is the perfect time to introduce engaging, movement-based activities that combine learning with a whole lot of purposeful play.

If you’re searching for a fun way to help your energetic kindergarteners get their wiggles out while practicing important literacy skills, “Write the Room” activities might just become your new favorite thing.

What is Write the Room?

“Write the Room” is an interactive literacy activity where students move around the classroom to find word cards posted in various locations.

With a clipboard and recording sheet in hand, they hunt for these words and fill in their recording sheet as they go, turning a simple scavenger hunt into a powerful learning experience.
